Assertion error in transmission 1.04

Postby Bimme » Wed Feb 06, 2008 8:11 pm

When I start transmission it will hang with an assertion error after just a few minutes. Sometimes it starts to download, sometimes it fails from beginning.

I enter and receive the following:
Code: Select all
$ transmission-daemon -f -s /tmp/transmission.socket
Transmission 1.04 (4888) started
Queueing ABC1 to verify 127 local file pieces
Verifying some pieces of "ABC1"
Bound socket 15 to port 51413
Port Mapping: opened port 51413 to listen for incoming peer connections
Torrent "ABC2" tracker response: OK
Torrent "ABC2" got 194 new peers
Got scrape response for  'ABC2': OK
transmission-daemon: bencode.c: 567: nodeNewLeaf: Assertion `!isContainer( val )' failed.
Killed

The same download was running OK with transmission 1,00

I'm running it on a Western Digital MyBookWorldEdition NAS server containing an ARM CPU.

Any ideas, or is it a simple bug?

This is fixed already in the nightly builds. 1.05 will be along sometime later this week.
