Same here, I also get the "An error occurred while extracting the archive." trying to update from 2.92 to 2.94.

You can turn off automatic update checking in the preferences. Really no need to do a new build, just for turning that off by default.

Well, it turns out that the port closing was apparently random.. At least my 2.00 isn't closed right now. And 1.92 was also closed sometimes.. A bit weird.

What happens if you just quite Transmission and restart it?

All of my current torrents show up alfabetized under the Inspector list..

Having the same problem.

My port is also suddenly closed after upgrading to 1.93.

Also, Transmission seem to block my internet connection from time to time now, so that any online application is having trouble (Camino, Adium, Steam).. Quite annoying, but I don't know if those two things are related.

Could you maybe create a mockup of your thoughts?
