I have had this Slow Death problem after I upgraded from 1.41. After a lot of trouble I went back to 1.41 again. Today I thought I should try 1.61 with a hope that the bug was fixed. I had of course completely removed all preferences and files belonging to the 1.41 version before I installed the 1 ...

Yes, I have vmware fusion, installed, but it was not running when Transmission was.

I have the same problem with 1.51.

I've been using Transmission for a year now, and everything has worked great until I upgraded from version 1.42 to 1.50. When use the Speed Limit i get the Slow death bug.

My specs:
MacBook Pro
10.5.6 (with all updates)
