utorrent for windows does have a very low traffic count...
utorrent for mac though has even more then transmission...

the amount of traffic is not a science.. it depends on how many torrents you have running and how many people are connected with it and the speed of the swarm as well..

you are in error..

100% means the file is complete.. and when you look at "have" it says 88.8 MB
but uploaded is 77.7 MB.. so that is not 100%

in fact the ratio of 0.87 is absolutely correct..
the 100% you see with progress is how much of the file you downloaded, not uploaded

even when you're not uploading or downloading, the torrent gets scraped.. well, basicely just updated.. this ofcourse causes traffic..

the same goes with just uploading, only now you have the connected peers requesting pieces of what you have.. or trying to connect to you.. this too causes traffic ...

it actually does happen with every file that is created.. although it's not that noticable with the smaller files.. AFAIK it starts to really show from 4GB and up

coming with this problem is that it ONLY happens when the file is created.. and the file does not get created UNTIL you have received ...

I have noticed now with a few releases that using Transmission with big files results in Transmission just hanging.. nothing but a beachball while it is creaing the files..

using iStat menus i can see (and hear) how busy my hard-drive is running while Transmission is simply fully locked.
