Well, maybe since they got rid of all those printer drivers and basically reset the hardware allowed through the wireless network, that you have to re add the ecternal HDD onto the network... Or something along those lines.

By adding the port onto the firewall... I really don't understand that. Did you set the firewall to allow selected programs to connect to internet (and have transmission added to it), or is it at the the default, let the computer decide for itself? If it's not that, could I maybe see a screenshot ...
