Is still broken in the latest version (r9419)

Simply stated:
You move one or more files
Transmission wil move one of them and will then hang

So force quitting Transmission will let you end up with just one moved file.
That is, if nothing else went wrong...

not that I know of

The only way I know is pausing the torrent, removing the file in finder, verify the torrent with internet connection closed or download speed set to zero and afterwards uncheck anything that should be unchecked
in some cases it can be handy to uncheck a file you didn't remove ...

safari can't get any page opened
and after a while airport gets the problems described above

It would be nice to have an 'apply to all' checkbox in the message you get when some transfers are started, while the file-destination isn't available.
e.g.: when I start transmission with a different external hard drive attached, I need to confirm about 500 of those messages...

I don't know exactly what you mean with network daemons, but I think I'm experiencing the same problems.
When I start transmission (1.74 or 1.75b or even one of the nightlies) at first everything works pretty much (expect for the occasionally overshoot of the bandwidth caps).
But after 5 minutes or ...
