While something like µTP is definitely a good idea, it is not clear that µTP as defined now is workable. I can see quite a few issues with µTP.
It's a pity that the µTorrent people chose to design and implement their protocol in secrecy, without consulting anyone. I hope it is not too late to ...

After some discussion in LT's mailing list we settled for now to have a solid implementation in LT.. And then we'll see what to do next..
