Re: More Torrents than there is Directories/Files
Maybe a bit late but the most likely reason for this that I can see is that two or more torrents share the same directory name, and that the files they share are identical but have at least one file unique to them self thus making the torrent-hash different between them.

Re: Can't connect to WEB GUI nor transmission-remote-cli
The package should be the latest as i got them like this apt-get install transmission-deamon so for me it should be it. Correction, you have the latest version that the Debian maintainers considered stable at the time they put together that version, and checking their package listing gives you vers...

Re: Prioritize parts within file
I'm sure it's doable, and the only non-technical reason that I can see against it is the notion of requesting the pieces that are least frequent and/or present so that you not only "even out" the spread of pieces but also increase your chance of actually completing the whole torrent. From ...

Re: Latest Transmission for Synology
You either have to compile it yourself, or look through the Synology forums since the Transmission devs do not make the installation packages for Synology (nor any Linux based system at all), that is handled by the respective distribution maintainers (or their community). I don't know of any Synolog...

Re: Service not starting on Openelec
This would be best taken to the Openelec forums since they are the ones who set up and maintain the start-up scripts/routines for Openelec, not the Transmission devs.

Re: Full storage problem
i have the same problem ...snip... watchdir and dowload/incoming direstory are on the usb disk Same what, that XBMC is reporting some partition as 100% full when it's not? As long as Transmission can write to it and Transmission itself doesn't report it as full then there is nothing for the Transmi...

Re: Error: Read-only file system
What are you running Transmission on, a.k.a the OS and how it's installed? From the error itself I can only say that it's a problem with the OS itself and not Transmission. Have you checked the file system itself, so that you can write to it and that Transmission writes in the same way? I have seen ...

Re: Having issues with the Remote App HELP?
That app is NOT done by the Transmission team but rather a third party. You would probably find instructions and/or relevant information if you go to that apps homepage.

Re: Full storage problem
Honestly, I can't really make heads or tails out of that one, I even installed it on my Gentoo system to check it out myself. Or at least run it with the -x option (excludes other filesystems). If you have df (disc free) then I would like to see the output of that one since it reports total size as ...

Wrong forum, it's not that kind of transmission we are discussing here.

Re: Equivalent to "Resume Now" in transmission-remote?
If you are willing to look into other scripting languages then I'm fairly certain that the modules in Python and/or Perl for communicating directly with Transmission can do it.

There isn't much you can do since you can't force connections to others. It may very well be that those 3 are the only ones that take new connections.

Re: what is sysctl.conf file ?
Sysctl.conf is a config file used by the sysctl utility, not a Transmission config file, and as far as I know only read upon OS bootup.

Re: How to downgrade to older version on QNAP NAS
Outside of just finding an installation package for 2.03 I can't say more.
This is more suited for the QNAP forums since they (or their community members) are the ones who actually put together the QNAP installation packages, and knows better where they are and how they "function".
