Re: How to configure Transmission to work with Tor
i also read the blog entry and fail to see the "bad etiquette" you mention. bit torrent is not illegal. Looks like the wiki was edited. True, bittorrent isn't illegal. But, it's still considered bad etiquette, because tor isn't ment to be used with applications that are connection/bandwid...

Re: Unknown Client in the Peers inspector tab? Post it here.
I just noticed this client again in my peer list today, and after googling it, I found out according to Buffalo's tech forum -UE210B- is "µTorrent Embedded".Thinine wrote:-UE210B-

Re: ALL Torrent Clients WILL NOT OPEN on my Mac
Are you using 1.54? 1.54 is the last version of Transmission that will run on 10.4.
You can download 1.54 here: https://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/PreviousReleases

Re: Better Encryption
Transmission uses RC4 encryption (the same encryption as µTorrent.). I'm surprised that µTorrent will connect to incoming peers. Because the mac version of µT only has the option of force encrypting outgoing connections.

Re: r12186: CFServiceControllerBeginPBSLoadForLocalizations
I've had the pbs time out messages with other random apps. For some odd reason, a reboot solved the problem. Edit. This is a bug in pbs (in snow leopard). http://lists.apple.com/archives/cocoa-dev/2009/Dec/msg01360.html http://lists.apple.com/archives/cocoa-dev/2009/Dec/msg01353.html If a reboot dos...

Re: Moving .part file back into Transmission
Make sure the torrents are paused, then put the .part files back into transmission's default download directory (or whatever directory you've assigned to a particular torrent). Before you restart the torrent go to Transfers>Verify Local Data (do this on every torrent that you've re-added the .part f...

Re: Internet connection crashing during downloads
You could be overloading your router by connecting to more peers than it can handle. Try limiting global maximum connections.

Maybe comcast is still interfering with bittorrent traffic.
Do you have encryption/ignore unencrypted peers enabled?

Re: About "Support for automatically stopping idle seeding t
Yes, it can be disabled.
If you're using the mac client, go to preferences>transfers>management and uncheck the box that says, "stop seeding when inactive for".
