Re: Transmission killing network
I have the same issue with all versions above 2.13. I tried disabling PEX and DHT and limit my connections to 100. Downloads and uploads are slower and sometimes the network goes more or less completely down (very very slow websurfing). With 2.13 have set the connection limit to 200 and PEX+DHT ena...

Transmission overloading router connections
After upgrading to transmission 2.33, the app constantly maxes out my number of IP connections on the router (4096). I've tried all kinds of settings to limit it, but the problem persists. Back on 2.13, the number of connections (while running even MORE torrents, mind you), may start out at max, but...

Re: 2.00+ (10851) keeps crashing.
Here's another crash report from a slightly earlier build: Process: Transmission [75288] Path: /Applications/Transmission.app/Contents/MacOS/Transmission Identifier: org.m0k.transmission Version: 2.00+ (10854) Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process: launchd [112] Date/Time: 2010-06-25 15:53:24.00...

Re: 2.00+ (10851) keeps crashing.
Same deal here. Repeatedly crashing after a download is completed. This is quite unsupportable. I'm not downloading a new nightly until this gets fixed. Crash report of the latest crash: Process: Transmission [75389] Path: /Applications/Transmission.app/Contents/MacOS/Transmission Identifier: org.m0...

Re: Why is Transmission creating files I've skipped?
Transmission has always done this. If you only download one file from a multi-file torrent, it'd create the file in front of the one you want, and allocate the full space that file needs even though most of that memory won't be needed. Yes, it is quite annoying.

Haven't had a relapse since the nightly builds that promised to fix it. Looking good!

Re: Incomplete/Incorrect Download reported as completed
Does this fix help me avoid the crash via the comparePieceByWeight assertion fail as I reported here: http://forum.transmissionbt.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9692 ? Otherwise, I'm reluctant to test it out, as it is exactly downloads that trigger the crash, and Transmission takes hours to get the ann...

Re: Build #2534 Crash
Happened again. This time I was downloading a single mp3 file out of a torrent with multiple mp3s. On Transmission's own error log before it crashed, it listed something about pieces failing a hash check, and downloading them again. Dunno if that's related. But here's the assertion fail: 3/6/10 12:1...

Build #2534 Crash
I was downloading a torrent with multiple mp3s. As soon as the download was done, Transmission crashed. This crashy washy seems directly related to the code change, 'cause when I looked in the console: 3/5/10 3:52:48 PM [0x0-0x2f02f].org.m0k.transmission[217] Assertion failed: (comparePieceByWeight(...

[SOLVED] Incomplete/Incorrect Download reported as completed
For a few times now starting with 1.9 on 10.5.8, I've noticed that some of the mp3s in a torrent I downloaded have very bad skips on them. After a bit of investigation, I found out the problem was Transmission. Even though those torrents were reported as completed, progress bar green, when I highlig...
