Re: Running Transmission causes system clock to be fast (Ubu

When Transmission is running, automatic NTP update fails. Why? That is not controlled by Transmission. If your router was so overloaded that updates couldn't get through then you would likely see browsing issues as well. No browsing issues, I've got the bandwidth limited below 50% rated speed for t...

Re: Running Transmission causes system clock to be fast (Ubu

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=97041 http://pricklytech.wordpress.com/2010/06/11/timekeeping-in-ubuntu-virtual-machines/ I neglected to mention the following: When Transmission is running, automatic NTP update fails. (whether it works or not regularly I can't honestly say, with or without...

Running Transmission causes system clock to be fast (Ubuntu)

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04.3, and Transmission 1.93 (10621) (The latest version in the repository for this version of Ubuntu) The system is an Asus EeePC 701SD, 2GB of RAM, with two external drives in software RAID. When NOT running Transmission, the system keeps perfect time, +/- 0.2 secs per 24 hour...

File allocation freezes Transmission

Whenever Transmission allocates a large file, the client freezes for the duration of the allocation, shutting down all the transfers for the duration of this allocation. (Network traffic drops to nearly zero) Not a new problem, I just felt like complaining about it now. :D Is there any chance that t...

Re: Transmission gets irresponsive, downloading at high spee

Is Transmission allocating disk space during this time? That can cause it to appear to hang.

Re: Weird speed reporting...

I noticed that with Snow Leopard 10.6.0 and Transmission 1.92 if the time is set to the current time, the upload and download speed indicator will show the total amounts downloaded and uploaded rather than the download speed. But if I set the clock ahead several hours, it reports upload and downloa...

Re: Cannot Resume Seeding After HD Disconnected

When you connect an external drive in OS X, it becomes a folder under /Volumes . When this drive is not connected, applications trying to find data will find an empty folder instead, and will simply recreate the folder hierarchy within /Volumes , with the data being stored on the boot partition of t...

Re: Transmission disconnecting internet?

Tried that x190, my normal settings are 40u/400d, and I reduced them to 10u/10d, still crashes the modem at random.

Re: Transmission disconnecting internet?

I have a similar, but not exactly the same problem, my modem, on random occasions, will simply freeze entirely. It will stay frozen for 5-10 minutes before warm re-booting on it's own. I know Transmission is the culprit, as it will not crash as long as Transmission is not running, but I cannot conce...
