Re: transmission 3 work on MACOS Big Sur ?
Works ... but now the port statusnow says closed/red :(* Impossible to have a correct port in green light :( Please correct ... 1. Normal ISP while doing public domain sharing -- my green light issues have to do with which ports my router is set up to forward. When I tell Transmission to randomize ...

Re: Starts seeding before download complete
Dictionary check: You don't seed until you have the complete package. However, you can and do share (upload) the parts you do have, if someone else in the swarm (everybody out there who is using the particular torrent) needs your parts. It is possible to have it all out there in the swarm without a ...

Re: " seeding to 0 of 0 peers "
Translation: You are ready to seed. There is no one currently connected to you that wants to download.
You can "open up" by waiting for the tracker to update. You could also enable DHT, PEX, and local discovery that would allow others to connect to you (assuming they are out there)

Re: Switching All my Torrents from Laptop to Desktop
(which is always connected to the external drive). The external drive thing drove me nuts for a while: I used the external drive as the "download/save to" place. I'd find an item at 5% that *was* at 80%. There would also be a mystery loss of some of my boot disk available space. Apparantl...

Having looked for a *clear* statement, and finding none (tickets -- board --- PPC on --- PPC off --- here's a patch --- duplicate issue --- 2.22 and 2.22+ ) :? Just what is the latest/greatest for us PPC users --- and a clear link would be nice --- The current link on the home page gets the 4...

Re: Upload Settings / Seeding Help
To seed successfully, you need to: 1. Insure you are *exactly* doing it according to your private torrent site specifications. (Do they require an added text document? Do they require technical descriptions? Do they specify a particular port? Do they have bandwidth requirements for seeders? Do they ...

To add to x190's comment: If the drive/ location that you have set in your preferences isn't there/up and running when you launch Transmission, then the location gets quietly re-created at the root level  . Re: Trans gives me "tracker error" but no problem in Vuze
How do I know which one is the one in question? Read everything in the tracker's little block -- you'll see announce time and more -- including any error statuses. Those messages come from the tracker. Any that say Not Permitted (or something like that) will be the one. And how do I contact whichev...

Re: Request-Ability to adjust upload slots per torrent-- Me2
I have DSL where my upload ability is about 10% of DL --- that ability would sure be nice to have. I manually set my torrent max connections to 2 --- after I get to the seeding mode. 30K does not do much for each leech when you have the default # of connections. The previous "how to" :? do...
