Solved everything!... although peer searches do seem to take quite a bit longer.... and it downloads unchecked files again... but....

Okay.... Maybe I am wrongly assuming that the port being closed is the cause of the problem instead of just a symptom.

When I try to download, Transmission goes through the process of finding peers and then it actually appears to begin the download, i.e., progress bar moves, MB count and percentage ...

Ahhhh..... Forgot about LS. I don't hear from it much. In fact, it isn't giving me any grief about Transmission.

I have not tried manually PF'ing. Haven't needed to for the past year and a half that I've been using Transmission... or the past several months that I've been using LS...

There is only one router in my network and my OS X firewall is entirely disabled.

Any other possibilities?

After installation and relaunch, transfers resumed momentarily then all simultaneously stopped. I manually resumed them but they all stopped again seconds later. I quit the application and relaunched to find absolutely nothing in my transfer list.

How can I get my transfer list to its previous state?
