Re: Error - too many open files
Ok, so I pointed to a Linux-generic possible solution and you're still stuck with Synology limitations. Take it up with the Synology forum then?

Re: Every new torrent/magnet added starts new clientinstace..
You do know that you are trying to save yourself a single click right? (Close a browser tab or exit an application.) If you use the web-UI, or are willing to, you could use Shift to intercept the magnet: protocol. If you are stuck using the native application you need to start some application to pr...

Re: The old "stuck at 99.xx% download" question..
There are some related issues with corrupted data. For me this only happens when the disk the data is stored on is full at the moment of download completion. Transmission thinks it has written a piece to disk, but physically it has not. So it is related to caching on some level. When the issue of fr...

Re: Script for Ubuntu to copy files to another dir after they complete.
That really does nothing for me I am not trying to un rar any files. I just want to move the finished file. The drive is never not mounted. Ok. This contradicts the files being on your local drive and on your network drive. Sure it is/was/will be. On Debian your script could look something like: #!...

I'm just as baffled as you are. The people who developed the installer probably made a mistake.

Try Shift and report any issues. Even though Shift was developed for Firefox, I have reports on it working just as well on the usual phone browsers.

Try running the same web version that you use on your NAS on your local machine. Use as much of a similar configuration as possible.

Re: External HDD keeps disconnecting
My first guess would be a driver and/or a filesystem corruption problem. I have seen drives disconnect on a hardware sector error as well but not for a long time.

Re: Optimal Transmission settings for a Coreelec tv box.
For me the best setting of "cache-size-mb" is 16. It is well above rattling every byte to disk and low enough to prevent head-parking.

I too have a massive gripe about this change the transmission team has made. BUT ... it is all contained within the config structure which you should not meddle with anyway.

There are many possible reasons for this, but try limiting your bandwidth usage first.
