Something that I think would be cool is to add an option for the user indicate to the program where is the executable "TransmissionDaemon.exe" compiled for Windows .
Thus the Remote GUI would also become a Transmission ported to Windows without requiring an external computer running a headless ...

Re: Build Transmission on Windows
@cadusilva,
Most likely you are seeing DHT traffic (UDP).
This is possible even with the job list empty?
Yes, you are still a node on the DHT network.
Ok, thank you!
I mean would be good a full debug build with all debug symbols to see where it crashes precisely.

Re: Build Transmission on Windows
Last time I followed the steps in the Wiki, many warnings appeared. At the end there are some commands obsolete. It was impossible to complete the process because of it. So I made the above request. If you can release the Transmission-QT, means that the steps used are working. I think that libraries ...

Re: Build Transmission on Windows
Can you tell here what libraries and commands do you use to compile Transmission? The instructions in the Wiki are a bit outdated. Do you use Cygwin for that? I use it, then commands must be compatible.
But I can adapt myself to Mingw.
Thanks.

the uninstaller crashes remaining in an undefined state, so the window never closes.
Yeah, here too. This is the only problem I'm having with Transmission. The uninstaller does not work right, never closing or completing the work.

The ticket #3751 has just been updated with the new brazilian portuguese language file. Everything has been revised and corrected, starting from scratch to run perfectly with the latest version of Transmission launched by rb07. See the result:

Re: Build Transmission on Windows
Hello,
I try to get another bt client on Windows, after I have discovered that Vuza was sending e-mails without noticing me.
I have installed the latest QT setup from your link (rb07's).
In my case it opens, asks me for some initial settings, stay open for 30 secs, and then crashes.

Re: Build Transmission on Windows
I checked my configure parameters, and I didn't use --disable-nls (do not use Native Language Support) so in theory libtransmission should work using the locale language.

Let's test this:
In your Transmission-Qt installation directory, create a new directory with name translations, move your transmission_pt_BR.qm file to that directory, run the application.

OK, I set the ticket as invalid to save the work to developers. I could not find the russian translator. I clicked on his name on the Trac, but falls in the search and not in a profile (if it exists) with information about him.
