Re: own torrent, but not recognized as seeder?

I moved the file and re-validated the local data. No change. But Transmission itself didn't have any problems with my file anyway. It's only the trackers not seeing my computer as a source for this particular file...

kat.ph now sees me as seeder if I login at my account and browse to the file. If I ...

own torrent, but not recognized as seeder?

Sorry, this is not really related to Transmission itself, but today I created a torrent file (including a punch of trackers) and made an entry at kat.ph.

I even deleted my own torrent file after creating the entry on kat.ph and downloaded it from there again. Transmission instantly recognized my ...

Re: how to find an open port

Thank you for your reply.

Mainly because the connecting problem didn't come at a specific point in time, but was introduced by preceeding difficulties, I have the impression it shouldn't be a ISP problem. At least I think it's a hint why it didn't start as such...

how to find an open port

I'm using Transmission 2.03 on Debian Squeeze. And because I don't want to mess up the packaging system I would rather like to stick with the version from the Debian main sources instead of updating to the most recent Transmission version.

When I installed squeeze Transmission worked fine, but ...

Re: Change incomplete torrents folder mid download

Did you actually stop the daemon then make the changes and after that start it up again, or did you just make the changes and then re-start it?

If first one, then something is wrong.
If second one, then you are doing it wrong.
I guess it's not possible to stop the daemon in the gui because I ...

Re: Change incomplete torrents folder mid download

Always stop the daemon before making changes or they will be overwritten and lost when you do quit.
The change is still permanent in my preferences after many restarts. But that doesn't cause any difference.

Do you suggest, that even if the change sticks in the preferences after rebooting ...

Re: Change incomplete torrents folder mid download

Thanks for your advise, bluebottle.

I found the torrents on my system in the following folder (only searchable with su-privileges): ".config/transmission/torrents/".

Anyway, it didn't really work because there where only those torrents which I had already in the correct folder. All other torrents ...

Re: Change incomplete torrents folder mid download

The posted solution sounds very easy, but I can't find such an option in my transmission client. Is there any other way to change the folders after starting the download? (Actually the files have finished downloading a long time ago. I just want to keep them available for others, but organise the ...
