Re: Can you change the port when seeding?
Thanks Rolcol. You're talking about uPNP right? Does Transmission maintain the open ports forever or does it maintain a LUT mapping current seedings (not sure of proper term) to port such that when the seedings attached to a port have finished the port can be closed? Sorry if this is pushing the kno...

Can you change the port when seeding?
Can you change the port when seeding? I'd like to know. I can't find any discussions of this suggesting don't do it. But it would seem to me that if you did and closed the existing port when someone is downloading from you then their download will stop. Perhaps you should keep ports open after chang...

Re: Does upnp auto close ports?
Hi ithrowpicks, I'll have a go at this one. We I can't answer definitively but you could test yourself to see if this happens or not. Open Transmission prefs to confirm what port it is using. Use a site such as http://grc.com (shields up page) to check if indeed that port is open. Hit 'randomise' an...

Re: Blocklist URL
Thanks x190 though I'm just reporting on my investigations. So when you paste http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/level1.gz. in and say update does it work? This is where for me it error'd. However I tried again and it worked! Don't you just hate that.

Re: Blocklist URL
Perhaps it needs to be in DAT / donk format?
I'll see if I can find a list that generates that.
Code: Select all
001.000.000.000 , 001.255.255.255 , 100 , Some organization

Re: Blocklist URL
Transmission used to grab a blocklist on transmissionbt's server. This default list was only a mirror to bluetack's level1 list. If you still want the same list, you can grab it from this url: http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/level1.gz Doesn't work. The error about no IPs found is still being retur...
