First look at the password configuration in settings.json. Does it match what you're seeing? You could try killing transmission-daemon, then editing settings.json by hand, and then restarting the daemon. If that doesn't work, look for another copy of settings.json on your box -- maybe ReadyNAS uses ...

Any advice with what? If the tracker's got zero seeds, you're not going to be downloading much no matter whether your port is open or not.
