Re: Using Transmission-remote from Terminal

Got it! I added it in Build Phases / Target Dependencies in case anyone is wondering :) Then I copied transmission-remote to usr/local/bin, and it seems to work. I tried it by setting up a global upload limit via Terminal and it shows up in the GUI just fine :)

Re: Using Transmission-remote from Terminal

Right, and how should I do that? :? Here's a screenshot, maybe you can point me in the right direction:

Re: Different call scripts for different groups?

You could just set up folder actions in Automator to copy the files based on filetype (if this is a viable option to you, because you mentioned tracker information, so I'm not sure what you want). You can automatically copy the files once they're downloaded, and leave the original intact. If you ...

Re: Cannot file Transmission Directory

If you're looking for your torrent files you can find the ones that are active at this location:
Users/ Username /Library/Application Support/Transmission/Torrents/

I guess you've checked in the option to trash the original torrent file in the Preferences, which could be the reason you can't find ...

Re: Switch Destination Folder for Downloaded Content

Hey, I'm just running around answering questions so that maybe I get one on mine too :D

Alrighty, so first open up Transmission's preferences, then select Groups. Make a new group, or select one you're not using, and click Custom location. iTunes has a folder called "Automatically add to iTunes" by ...

Re: Run Perl script upon completion?

While I'm not sure exactly how to do it, I'm gonna try and answer this one because no one is answering my question :D

If it works from Terminal, you need to call a shell script (this would be a file with an .sh extension), which contains the command to run the Perl script. I don't know if you can ...

Using Transmission-remote from Terminal

Hey everyone,

I'd like to use Transmission's command line interface via Terminal (for shell scripting purposes), but I can't seem to make it work on Mac. Initially I thought that it was somehow bundled with the application itself, but after a bit of reading, I realized I need to download the source ...

Progress indication when moving files

After downloading large amounts of data (movies, etc.) via Transmission, I like to move them
to a network drive by clicking "Move Data File To..." in the context menu. With a slow network
and files above a few gigs, the transfer can take quite a long time to finish, however, there
are no means to ...
