Task Bar Icon for Windows 10 Changes

For those using Windows 10 with Open Shell, you might encounter the ff. issue: Install Transmission for Windows. Add the icon from the menu to the task bar. Install another app, like a third-party image viewer, and the task bar icon changes to that of the viewer. In case this happens, you can do the...

Re: Windows Compatibility: Possible Solution to Crashing, etc.

I just found out that in this mode files in the queue sometimes can't be deleted. I've set it back to regular mode.

Re: Windows Compatibility: Possible Solution to Crashing, etc.

Hello, thanks for the help. I'm happy to report that for nightly version v2.92+ (c82e7ecb9f) I've experienced no crashes or any of the problems mentioned earlier for the past two weeks. I used the ff. settings under Win 8.1:

- set compatibility mode to Windows 7
- run the program as an administrator

Re: Windows Compatibility: Possible Solution to Crashing, etc.

I will paste details for the next crash. The last one happened only a few minutes ago. I notice that it sometimes happens when I click on the same magnet link in a browser more than once. The client reports that it is a duplicate of a file that's already in the queue, then crashes. For "not loa...

Windows Compatibility: Possible Solution to Crashing, etc.

I've been using the latest nightly build of Transmission-QT in Win 8.1 to access transmission-daemon in a Buffalo NAS, and have been experiencing problems like the program crashing and magnet links not loading. The problems have not been taking place so far after I set the compatibility mode of the ...

Downloaded Torrents Not Deleted

I decided not to post this in the Github forum because it might be a quirk in my system. I am using a Buffalo NAS with Transmission installed and the Transmission Windows desktop (on Win 8.1) to access it. When I right-click on a downloaded file to delete it, the file is usually deleted successfully...

Can't Verify Address in TRAC

Hello. I logged in to https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ to report problems with the Windows desktop app. I've been asked to verify my e-mail address, but I've requested for a code but did not receive any e-mail, even in the spam folder. I checked and the address looks right. If anyone can do it for m...

Re: Incorrect path while using daemon

I had a similar problem with magnets (the program tries to create a downloads directory in C:), but the problem was fixed with the latest nightly build.

Re: Torrent File Not Deleted After Adding

I am using the Windows desktop version to access Transmission running in a headless NAS. I checked the following in Preferences / Downloading: - Automatically add .torrent files from _______ (I entered D:\Downloads, which is in one of my PC hard drives.) - Start added downloads - Move the .torrent f...

Torrent File Not Deleted After Adding

Hello. I am using Transmission 2.92+ (4f9d9ad2b) for Windows instead of Transmission 2.92 early preview for Windows when accessing Transmission running in a headless Buffalo NAS from a Windows 8.1 PC. I decided to use the new build because when I added a magnet it would use a drive in the PC for the...

Re: Scheduling downloads

Someone suggested cron, but I don't know how to use it. I have access to the shell, though, and I know a few Linux commands (I am running Transmission via a NAS and accessed through a web gui).
