Transmission

You can find the release notes for the 4.1 update on their website. Its very informative, but its somewhat good. I must say though, this 4.1 seems to eat up my CPU worse then 4.0 I wish I could downgrade, but that's no longer possible.

So, I was wondering. I noticed that Synology has released DSM 4.1 today with a lot of enhancements. I was hoping to upgrade but don't want to if I can not use Transmission on it.

Has anyone confirmed that Transmission runs on DSM 4.1? I'm currently running it on 4.0 with no problems.

Don't know if this thread is still watched, but I was wondering . . . The script looks amazing, and I'm looking to implement it myself here if it can do one thing. I too would like to install this on my Synology DS212j, but I'm afraid it would cause problems. I have FlexGet working properly with Transmission. But, I can't find anyone who has installed this program on the Synology system that has gotten it to work.

I feel horrible for asking this . . Can anyone show me (outside of this thread) how to create this script in Transmission and how to execute it. I just purchased the DS212J and setup the Transmission program and LOVE IT! The ONLY thing that I need this to do is unzip the files after it has finished ...

Can someone explain to me what uTP is? I did a lookup and it looks like it is there to help with the flow of Torrent traffic in Transmission? Can anyone explain this a little more to me? Sorry for bringing up an old thread.

I was wondering, is this possible for use on the Synology DS212J with DSM 4.0? I only ask because I'm new to these packages and am learning more and more everyday.

Does this incorporate automatic unzipping of torrents to a specified directory?
