Here is how I auto-allocate my torrents to a group.

Preferences > Groups : select your group (for example "Music")
Check Assign group to new transfers based on criteria
Click Edit…
Choose Any of the following are true
Any file, ends with, mp3 Any file, ends with, m4a
Keep adding lines for all ...

Indeed that's possible, but 3 seconds after I took that screenshot the bar turned green. So it seems to be connecting to seeders (0% + checkmark) and then realising they have a all the files (100% + checkmark). I'm wondering why the recycling button is at the botton of the main window. Why is it not a toolbar button?

Right now I can't move or remove it, which is a little annoying, considering I won't use that feature and there's already a menu item for it.

I don't see checkmarks on all peers, but I do see a checkmark on 0% peers. Is it supposed to be this way?

AFAIK you can't stop it completely from downloading or uploading. You would have to write a scheduled script to launch and quit Transmission so it only runs during you preferred time. I use a calendar (iCal) linked to an AppleScript for this purpose. I'm not aware of how to do this under Linux.

I was wondering, where are the standard units? All I see is KB/MB/GB, and file sizes are still calculated in base-2.

BTW it would be nice if Transmission detected the OS and used base-10 for Snow Leopard (I'm on 10.6.3), and base-2 for older systems. Or have a user configurable option.

Here is a crashlog of 1.80b4 (9884). The crash happened after the app was was open for a few hours at least. I wasn't at the computer so I have no idea what caused it. An IP change from my ISP might have occured at the time of the crash, but this is only speculation.
