associate transmission-gtk with web browser
Hi, my torrent server recently crashed. I backed up all the torrents but not the operating system settings. I am running Fedora 27 and transmission v 2.92. I use the midori web browser Transmission is all set up. I can verify my old torrents and seed. In some cases however, I create new torrents and...

internet issues - related to transmission?
Hi, I run transmission 24/7 on a raspberry Pi. I don't download a lot but I have (currently) 950 torrents available for seeding. In the early evening the house's internet connection suffers as our local neigbourhood starts hitting up netflix. At this time, the house's internet may become slow to the...

Hi, I am running v2.52 on a raspberry Pi under raspbian. I restart transmission about once every week and I notice that after a while I have downloaded 20.97MB. But I wasn't downloading anything! Is the client auto downloading an update? I can't see an option for this.

can't load torrent
Hi, I am experiencing a problem as follows: - create a torrent using transmission 2.52 - over to the site at which I want to upload - enter all info and I am asked to "Download" the files - This opens a window in transmission (like I was seeding someone else's torrent) - At this point I would expect...

Hi, I use transmission on a Raspberry Pi (Pidora) as a bit torrent client. yesterday I stuffed up the SDcard so I just dropped Pidora on another card and started again (all my torrents are on an external HDD). As the contents of the Pi are pretty minimal I back up my /home directory to another PC. A...

max torrents
Hi, I currently have 58 torrents resident on Transmission. I have max active torrents set to 5. I have seldom seen this number in use.
Is there a limit to the number of torrents that Transmission can hold at any one time?
Cheers

stop downloading and seed
Hi, for various reasons I am downloading a torrent and I don't want to finish the download immediately. Let's say I want to leave it at 90% complete. However, when I hit 90% I would like to continue seeding back to others. Eventually I will complete the download. I can't see any obvious option to se...

Re: transmission on raspberry pi
thanks. The incomplete folder suggestion seems like the way to go.
I tried it with a very small file 12MB. I'll see how it goes as the files get larger.
Thanks again

transmission on raspberry pi
Hi, I run transmission 2.72 on a Pi - Pidora. I have problems where the Pi locks up when downloading. My theory is that there is a transfer issue between ethernet and external USB HDD. One suggestion is to download to the SD card in the Pi. This is not immediately practical as I have far too much da...

transmission 2.72 on Raspberry Pi
Hi, I have 20 torrents all seeding on a raspberry Pi. One torrent is actively seeding, the others are waiting on peers. After a few minutes inactivity, ALL the non-active torrents assume a state of "stalled". I assume this means they will not seed? I had a look at my preferences, there is one option...
