Transmission

Since reverting to 2.04, this (data checking) hasn't happened a single time. After the 2.10 update it was happening almost daily when I started Trans. - sometimes twice a day.
I passed on the 2.11 update, since it seems to be working better now, and I don't believe the update addressed the problem ...

I don't use magnets, because I'm not even sure what they're for. I just download torrent files.

I WISH it only happened once! Lately it happens EVERY DAY .
Thought maybe my drive was getting corrupted, so I ran a Disc Genius scan on it, and it found no bad blocks.
Then I deleted several gigs of data to create more continuous free space (there was over 100GB free before I started).

I would like the ability to disconnect Transmission from the Internet, while it remains running.

This is especially helpful when verifying local data - seems like it goes faster when I turn Airport off, so Transmission isn't trying to download and verify at the same time. Of course this stops me ...

All my torrents are still running fine.

Yes, I still have to move, verify and resume each new torrent added, but then they finish with no further troubles.

I have not tried the file removal process.

Cody, if you're referring to the tip I posted, I'm glad I could help. You didn't say if it was my tip or the changing drive permissions suggested earlier in this thread.

I'm still having permissions trouble. Every new torrent I add gives me the Permissions Denied error, and I have to move, verify ...
