I think the issues is definitely less of a problem on Transmission 3.0 Just tested it out, Transmission CPU usage is lower even at 3 - 6 MB/s. but Kernel_Task is still fairly high at 30-40%.

I am guessing your file is quite big? Transmission will actually have to write an empty file on the NAS first before it is downloaded. And that empty file will be the size of your download. That is not true, there were lots of code changes and refactoring in nightly. Hopefully 3.0 will be with us soon.

Well there was a commit to bump version to 3.0 just hours ago. Hopefully we will see it soon. I think there were quite a lot of changes that went into it.

Having Same issues again. In current slow speed 300KB/s everything is ok, Once it goes up to MB/s or a few MB/s things start heating up.

I am downloading directly to a mounted NAS drive. It seems transmissionBT pause the transfer every time there is access to network drive such as playing video.

If there any way to change / improve that? it is noticeable since the reading on my docker icons shows.

Transmission is almost perfect in terms of features. DHT is the only blocker that is holding it against Azureus and utorrent.
