Thanks for the suggestions.

I changed the port number. I then added a username and password, but after doing so, Transmission wouldn't allow me access to the WebGUI. After several frustrating attempts, I gave up. Hopefully, the port change will be sufficient.

Transmission 2.82 opens magnet links, showing a good number of seeds/peers, but never starts downloading. I have tried different magnet links from different sources.

Yet if I use a torrent for the same material, it downloads with no problem.
