In 4.0.0 beta1 the coloring of torrents has changed, whenever a torrent is inactive it is colored gray. In previous version a torrent was only colored gray when it had completed seeding. I have the same issues, Big Sur 11.6.1, M1 iMac, Transmission 3.0, I have also gone back to Transmission 2.94. I have been trying Transmission builds but so far the issues are the same as those of Transmission 3.0, but I keep hoping it will be fixed at some point.

I have been trying to figure out how to keep Transmission in the background when adding a magnet link. So far I have not managed it, and could use some help. I am on OSX 10.11.4, Transmission 2.92, and adding the magnet links through Firefox.
