is FlexGet the only thing to enable RSS functions?

I looked at the intrustions for FlexGet and it's all command-line based, and I'm way over my head for that stuff.

Does FlexGet actually provide a good function of RSS downloading for Transmission?

Is there anything else that can do it?

Thanks

Re: Multiple instances of Transmission

The reason I initially wrote about being "more strict about running multiple instances" is I tried it myself and was able to start two instances without even passing -g. Not via a shortcut though, but just navigating to C:\Program Files\Transmission and double-clicking on transmission-qt....

Re: Multiple instances of Transmission

I'm not recommending running a particular program, you're free to choose on your own. The argument -g/--config-dir is the same for all flavors. If you're using the Qt client then yes, you could create a new shortcut and add these arguments in its properties (changing "c:\config2" to whate...

Re: Multiple instances of Transmission

If anything, it needs to be more strict about running multiple instances. But anyway, if you want two independent instances (be it the Qt client or the daemon), run them with passing different configuration directories as command line arguments, e.g. transmission-qt -g c:\config1 transmission-qt -g...

Multiple instances of Transmission

It would be great if it were possible to run multiple instances of the windows versions of transmission.

If it's not currently possible, then I request it as a feature :D

Preallocation on windows?

Hi,

I just started to use the Windows client of transmission. I can't find any option to preallocation files. Do I need to do it in a settings file somewhere or does it do it automatically?

Thank you

Re: Does Transmission fail after 1500 active torrents?

Transmission will start to silently fail after 1300-1500 torrents. Over the years I've heard of users running many times that number without issue. Specific trackers can have problems, usually due to a weakness or error in their software, but they may blame Transmission without providing solid evid...

Does Transmission fail after 1500 active torrents?

I heard from a tracker staff that Transmission will start to silently fail after 1300-1500 torrents.

It won't report any errors but it will fail to report stats to the tracker.

Deluge/Transmission are said to both have this bug.

Can anyone confirm if this is true? If so, any plans for a fix?
