Re: Frequent crashes (dumps attached)

Still crashing on completing torrents, but now with no crash reports! Lovely. Reverting to 2.82.

Re: Frequent crashes (dumps attached)

I'll install it, but there haven't been any post-release builds. In fact, the one linked (14282) is one revision back from the public 2.83 (14283). I assume just by being a nightly it has more informative debugging turned on.

Re: Frequent crashes (dumps attached)

Just based on the transfers window, it may be crashing on completing a torrent. I haven't caught it in the act, but every time I relaunch it I notice that there's one less torrent in the list. Perhaps something is amiss with switching from downloading to seeding, or from seeding to removing the torr...

Frequent crashes (dumps attached)

Not much I can say really, other than after running for a few hours on a set of active torrents, Transmission crashes out. Relaunch and all is happy for a while. Mac OS X 10.9.3 Transmission 2.8.3 You can see exactly where it crashed until I noticed and relaunched it. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.c...

Re: Verifying local data via web interface

Also, I originally thought that this may be because of AppNap... So I tried disabling it (Get Info on Transmission app in Applications folder and you can disable in there) but didn't seem to fix it, however I didn't have much time to play with it. I've been dealing with this exact issue for many mo...

Re: data loss at relaunch?

I also tend to lose data when quitting and relaunching Transmission. What's really distressing is how much it loses if it should crash - I've lost several gigabytes in such cases. Sadly, running P2P tends to cause kernel panics (fairly well documented - search for m_buf), so this is not uncommon.

Re: 1.50 beta 2 kernel panic

I wish there was a way to post here without bumping, but this is occurring for me on 10.5.6 and Transmission 1.5.1 final. It has occurred for at least a year; I have kernel panic reports of this nature going back to April 2008.

Re: Transmission 1.51 (7958) crashing OSX 10.5.6

I've been having near constant kernel panics with Transmission and Leopard for quite some time. While I do believe this to be a Leopard bug and primarily Apple's responsibility, I'd appreciate it if the Transmission devs see if there is anything that can be done to alleviate matters, or at least hel...

"we have a lot of more pressing priorities, not to mention it's very complex" That's a pretty fair summary, IMO. As for contributing patches, I wish I could, but my software engineering experience is getting rather dated, and I assume that Transmission is written in Objective-C/Cocoa. The...

I guess I get to play "good cop" here. :? It's very common for drive-by forum posters say "your program is worthless because it's missing feature X! drop everything and implement it now, or you've lost me as a customer, buddy!" -- only frequently much ruder. I've seen this liter...

DHT is the oldest yet open bug/feature request for T. Probably the most requested feature. I guess we will have to wait more. Either contribute or quit your whining. I'm absolutely shocked at such treatment of your users, who are simply making their needs known. How would you recommend non-coders (...

why do you need dht so badly? it isn't a silver bullet No, but when you have an obscure torrent or a dead tracker, it's that or nothing. I have one that's running slower than eDonkey, but it is running in Azureus. With Transmission I won't get a single byte. Thus I'm running all of Azureus (with th...

I get the same thing - no results being shown. Safari, Firefox - no difference.

Perhaps a debug version is in order, so we can provide some useful feedback?
