Re: Pasted magnets fail unless copied from Xtorrent
I have this problem as well with OmniWeb. I copied the URL of a magnet link from OW and Safari and pasted them to TextEdit. I know Safari works but OW doesn't. Here is the difference, OmniWeb incorrectly places a forward slash "/" after "magnet:" and Safari doesn't. The correct f...

disconnects 100% seeders never reconnects
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Transmission Version 2.52 (13304) Currently have 1 active torrent from a private tracker. Tracker currently has 7 seeders with 100%. Transmission initially connects to all of these with download rate +1MB/sec. After a few minutes six of the seeders vanish with only one remaining down...

How to secure (HTTPS) access Transmission remotely
I have a Mac on at home with Transmission running, I need to access Transmission remotely when I leave home and work away where i'll be able to use an internet connection at work but i'll only have an iPad. I tested a few things locally but Im afraid that accessing Transmission from iCab it is insec...

Re: Ipad and upload .torrent

Re: 2.20 incorrectly reports network data rates
20-30KB/s seems uncharacteristically high in comparison to uTorrent dude.x190 wrote:A.k.a. overhead... includes things like DHT , announces and scrapes, etc.drayon wrote: Essentially Transmission is using 20-30KB/s more than i've set.

Re: 2.20 incorrectly reports network data rates
Same problem here. I've set the u/l limit to 80KB/s, which Transmission reports. I noticed the network slowed down. Upon closer examination of SNMP data on the WAN port i'm seeing 100-110kB/s. Essentially Transmission is using 20-30KB/s more than i've set. I'm using 'SNMP Status', it's a menubar ite...

Re: unchoked peer but not interested
Sometimes a restart will snag a better set of peers. In the end, you make your settings and then wait. In what context and situation do you use 'restart'? Pause and resume a torrent?, Pause, Remove, re-open and restart a torrent? Stop all torrents, quit Transmission and relaunch? Or restart the rou...

Apple Airport Extreme Users report-Global Max Connections
I've asked on many different forums to discover how many simultaneous NAT connections the Apple Airport Extreme is capable of. No-one has been able to provide any useful information. I've read the SmallNetBuilder review of the AAE dual band, he states the device has 128MB RAM, yet goes on to say the...

Re: Transmission slows down everything on network
Metaclam, Your problem is probably 95% the fault of your router. Basically your router cannot handle many connections that Torrents need. Your router is basically bogged down because it's NAT Table size is too small, it's not refreshing and the device has too little memory to handle the connections ...

Re: Remote app for Iphone
In the case of 10 Mac's on a local network all with Transmission, how can we be sure the request is forwarded to to the correct target machine? I'd be unpopular if I tried to remotely control Transmission running on another house dwellers computer ;-) Would it just be a case of defining a non defaul...

yes changes made to the formats work well. Apple just make this process somewhat unintuitive.livings124 wrote:Transmission follows what your system is set to - it's the best option.

Re: Schedule-AM/PM or 24hr display
This is a standard time-picker widget. Your system must be set to show time in that format. Strange, my system clock preferences is set to display 24 hour time as I see in the menu bar. However this does not effect Transmission. I just discovered the following WILL adjust Transmission's display: Sy...

Schedule-AM/PM or 24hr display
I request Transmission modify the 'Schedule' time displays to provide determination between AM/PM. Please add either an AM/PM input selection or force the time display to follow 24hour clock format settings in the Date&Time Clock System Preferences when selected. Does this make any sense or do p...
