Transmission

When I click on the link to check for updates, within the Transmission app for Mac, it says it can't update if the app is on a read-only volume or optical drive. The app IS in my Applications folder, but I have been using iCloud to store all the torrent files. What is the problem?

I am constantly getting errors on the torrents I am seeding within Transmissions. Many have different error codes. When I look up what the error codes mean, I don't understand what I am reading or how to fix this.

I would really really not have to constantly check the status of the torrents I have ...

I can't tell from these responses how to fix this issue. Why do I keep getting that http error 403 message and how do I fix the issue?

Thanks for your reply and the helpful link. It seems I was making all of this harder than necessary, and the torrents are working fine now.

I looked in the help section, in the forums, and wiki. If I overlooked the answer, it was not for lack of trying.

Why do my seeded torrents randomly give me error codes, such as Tracker gave HTTP response code 403 (Forbidden).

Is there a list of error codes? Am I supposed to know what that means ...

I am using Transmission for Mac, and I am new to all this torrent and tracker stuff.

I am trying to create a tracker, but keep getting this:

I was able to get a little further with transmission.....Please see attached screen shots....Not sure if I am going in the right direction, but "download" seems to be stuck. Will a tracker address appear after download?

Tried creating my first torrent (I think that is what its called when I am sharing a folder), but I am asked for the tracker address, so that others can find my torrent. How do I find/create a tracker address?
