Re: DHT implementation

Re: DHT implementation
I have a few questions about the DHT? (most of them aimed at the Mac version of T) 1. how do I know if I have successfully 'connected' to the DHT? 2. Does each torrent have its own DHT, or is there just one DHT for all torrents? 3. Do DHT peers show up as coming from the DHT in the 'peers' tab of th...

Re: Combine all UI elements into one window
whether it looks better is a matter of opinion.
IMO the inspector based approach has served T well over the years, and frankly I see no compelling reason to abandon it. That said, it isn't my decision, but i'm fairly certain the livings (the mac dev) shares a similar viewpoint to mine.

livings: i do not know if you you are referring to my post or not. However labeling any poster's contribution as 'stupid' is not conducive to a civil discussion, and probably alienates that poster when really they were just trying to help.

livings, just putting it out there. it seems like there has not been much success in fixing this bug. why you feel the need to take the piss is beyond me.

Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
I think I just experienced this 'bug' for the first time. Using r6950 (so a few revisions old). Luckily it didn't completely crash my computer, although I had to be patient as it did turn to molasses for about 20 mins, until I force quit everything except T. I am back to normal now, without a restar...

Re: Make iPhone version launch as SSB
I can confirm this too. I made transmission web an 'app' on my homescreen, however sometimes changing the filter, or other buttons causes T to 'quit' and mobile safari to open.

Re: Session Transfer Vs Actual Download
Does overhead really take up around 10%? I'm afraid I'm here to report a similar experience on the latest nightly. Downloaded a 1004 MB torrent overnight, however the total session transfer was 1.09 gig (ie about 100mb/10% more).
If this is not a bug then so be it, I would be good to know though

turn on encryption. try downloading a well seeded torrent like ubuntu. if ubuntu maxes your connection, then it isn't transmissions problem.
