Transmission

Mine was doing this and I am on the Ubuntu/Linux version and at bottom right I changed the counter/notification for amount sent to Total Transfered instead and it closes a lot faster now, like within a second... Before it took like 5 seconds or more sometimes... So maybe try changing that.

Is this only on Mac? I am on Ubuntu and Transmission is built into Ubuntu as default torrent app which I love... I have also upgraded it to 1.75 and have yet to see this popup even when I had mac... but it is def not on Ubuntu version.

If you want a good version of Transmission, try using Ubuntu or another linux distro on computer instead of windows

Indeed... Windows = ewwww. I wish this would not be given to windows as well. I want it to be since its the best client out there and more people should use it, but windows sucks and I don't like sharing things with them :P . You would have to manually open port in firewall/iptables in linux etc (on Ubuntu I use firestarter to do so.). Also open it on router. You don't need to always have port open but the transfers may go slower or rarely not transfer at all.

That's odd... The build from getdeb.net of Transmission 1.75 works perfectly for me. The IPBlocklist is even working again. Everything works 100% perfect on 1.75 for me.

Indeed, update to 1.75 and this should be fixed. No problems on anything here.

For the blocklist thing... You can go into .config/transmission/blocklists or whatever and manually put 1 or 2 blocklist text files there and itll incorporate them into the app. I get the 0 blocklist thing too so I just manually put level 1 and level 2 text files there and now got 608,000+ blocked.

I think the colored bars should be incorporated with a nice theme like mac has on theirs but also have the option to choose match GTK theme like Chrome has in its browser.. Can use default or match GTK theme by choice. They should incorporate something like that where you can use Transmission theme ...

Try downloading a version of ubuntu from the ubuntu site from torrent download and make sure the port is open on your firewall in ubuntu and on router/modem... Then let us know if its still giving you an error on something like that. I just got 1.75 and everything works fine except blocklist updates...

Just updated to 1.75 on Ubuntu and the IP Blocklist went to 0 and when I click update it instantly says list was updated to 0... Hopefully its a blocklist problem and not 1.75 issue.
