Re: Interface Binding on Mac (New App!)
Not to rain on anyone’s parade, Transmission Interface Binder serves the purpose since virtually forever (apparently all to inconspicuously).

Re: HowTo: Bind to a specific network interface
Transmission Interface Binder works like a charm since 2015 (the while on macOS Mojave)

one flaw 2b tackled in a next update, if only
Poor old 2.92 takes a bumper thirteen or so hours to move a sixty or so GiB finished download from one disk onto an other. All along, macOS Sierra’s USB idiosyncrasies aside, it remains in that dread spinning-beach-ball state of 'not responding'. Meanwhile and more if not most reprehensible, its cho...

Re: Disconnect if VPN drops?
This is what you guys are looking for, very easy to use. https://github.com/joshbernfeld/Transmission-Interface-Binder Exp … p … p … exponentially … explicitly … ex … ex … excellent! All that remains to be wished for now is keeping connectable. Contradiction in terms seems to ring a bell. cheers,

Re: All seeds pausing intermittently
Have you tried a longer "inactivity" period? I have, to no avail. Apparently the present array  of seeds is not quite as impressive and this post comes down to my misconception about the different states of a transfer, active vs inactive = either :?: stalled, waiting to seed, or pau...

Re: All seeds pausing intermittently
To start off with x190’s second question, as I meant to state previously, 2.42 or thereabouts on OS X 10.6.8 never dozed off like that. As for the first one, 2.82 (having enjoyed as I did a two-year sort of offline sabbatical ) grinds to a halt after system sleep on both OS X 10.9.1 and today'...

Re: All seeds pausing intermittently
As an afterthought on this grief I checked other relevant settings, which read (likewise ever since forever): -> Transfers - Management -> stop seeding when inactive for: … minutes = unchecked -> Network -> prevent system sleep with active transfers = checked Moreover, seed ratio aside, once all tra...

Re: All seeds pausing intermittently
Narrowing down the issue I found that a single torrent pausing as it should suffices to trigger all of them to sink into a slack, like so … 2014-02-18 09:47:30 +0000 torrent.c:499 [Info] 1st torrent: Seed ratio reached; pausing torrent 2014-02-18 09:47:30 +0000 torrent.c:1859 [Info] 1st torrent: Pau...

All seeds pausing intermittently
Transmission happily seeds a hundred or so torrents for days on end (vs 2.82, OS 10.9.1), most of which remain stalled of course, only to every now and then keep all of them waiting to seed , somehow slipped as they have within mere seconds apart according to the message log. Unchanged for years now...

Re: Remove Data File, crash upon crash
[...]EDIT: As a workaround, try pausing all torrents before starting a data removal session and then allow an interval of ~15-20 sec. between removals to allow the application and OS to get in sync. Your suggestion did prove useful in a way. Just pausing the ones which need their data to be removed...

Done that. Reply and referrals much appreciated.x190 wrote:[...]...or you can try disabling µTP in Prefs->Network.
cheers,
<edit> turning it back on instantly reduced usenet client download speed by 80%, off again and all is well - this µTP thing appears to have a serious issue
