After clicking on the new option in preferences, it would be helpful to have a confirmation. Maybe something next to the button--green dot or something.

Noticed in 1.72 and 1.73
Choosing to "remove data file" often leads to Transmission freezing.
Then it's necessary to "force quit."

I couldn't find any logs under console.app
