Re: Starting WebUI from headless server

Nope, i was waiting your feedback on my thoughts about splitting the old / long page in a starting page and a page for each distro - just like it is now. I just changed it and wait for your thoughts on this =) Another point is the structure of the pages: I believe it's best to define some kind of te...

Re: Slow Transfers vs UTorrent on Windows

Utorrent is bad for torrent networks as it super seeds and fucks up ratios. But whatever, me first generation. Utorrent is also one of the main reasons torrents are so slow these days. So unless Transmission changes itself to cannibalize the network like utorrent you will see slower speeds. Think o...

Re: Starting WebUI from headless server

If you follow the wiki article you'll install an init-script. This script starts transmission daemon which is responsible for serving the Webui.

Maybe the largest part of the data you have downloaded could not be verified and was discarded?

that has nothing to do with transmission or bittorrent.

you need a tiny bit of your upstream to send an acknowledgment for each received data packet.

If there's a big link on the website that's linked to this help file in html-format (or a page which tells to read the help), there wouldn't be so much questions about download speeds and so on. I'm using Transmission mostly on the console or with clutch. I can't find that much documentation for tra...
