2.40b3 (12935) stopped the crashing as of now. I'll check back if anything changes.

I'm actually having the same problem since the last update. Pretty drastic. As soon as it connects to a few peers it crashes hard. No hang just a full crash. Interestingly also on 10.6.8 (Server). I'm going to grab the nightly and see what happens.
