Actually, I noticed this too. I guess I inadvertently turned on speed limit mode, and that's when the problem started. Once I turned it off, I had no further problems.

Ryoujin's experience seems to be similar to mine. Nothing actually crashes, the system just beachballs after a few minutes running Transmission, and after that other apps seem to hang when they try to access the hard drive.
