Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
Does anyone know the default max number of connections and number of connections per torrent setting?
Ive done so much playing around with them that I'm not sure what to set it back to so I can try and reproduce the bug in 1.34!

Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
Im having luck reducing the number of connections and concurrent downloads.
I am going to keep increasing them to try and find the optimal number.
At the moment I am up to global max of 200, 50 max per torrent with max 2 concurrent downloads and max 1 seeding

So leopard cant handle a high number of connections? It seemed to handle it fine with Azureus...
I know that my router can handle it as I have increased its number of connections significantly and no other machines on the network are affected.

Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
Changed transmission to have a lower number of max connections and less connections per torrent and also only allowed one download and one seed at a time. Have had the machine stay up all night so looks like transmission cant handle alot of connections.

Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
Phew thank goodness I found this thread, I was gonna format and reinstall leopard to try and fix this.
Im having exactly the same issues described.
Running 10.5.4 on a PPC G5 running 1.33 of transmission.
Nothing in the logs, which I believe is because nothing actually crashes.
Anything I can do ...
