macOS GUI client calls script, but it doesn't seem to work
Hello. I have a script that runs FileBot - it runs fine if I just run it in the Terminal. I've set it to run when a torrent is completed via the Mac GUI client. I've given the entire universe execute permissions to the script. I see it run in debug: Calling script "/Volumes/Drobo/Video/tidy-vid...

Re: Stay in menu bar not dock?
I think dockless also stops you being able to apple-tab to the main window though, if it is open :/
Thanks for this. Distributing methods? Don't know, sorry... :/

Re: Stay in menu bar not dock?
Sounds good. The typical problem with this being implemented, is when a window is opened via the menu bar, the actual menu bar menus disappear. This may be unsurmountable, in which case a cut down version of the menus should be available via the menu bar icon?
Thank you so much.

Re: Stay in menu bar not dock?
I have few requests:
Do not show Transmission in the dock
Change the icon if new items are downloaded
Make it easy to get to the main window and to hide it
Thank you

http://developer.apple.com/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/AppleHIGuidelines/XHIGMenus/chapter_17_section_4.html "Important: Don’t create your own menu bar extras. Use the Dock menu functions to open a menu from your application’s icon in the Dock." - you are completely right, I a...

Re: Stay in menu bar not dock?
livings124 - it's your software, make it as you wish, and thank you very much for doing so :) It is by far my favourite BT client. But my opinion in how something should work is my opinion. It is not wrong, exactly as you could not tell me I was wrong for liking music you did not. I will read up on ...

Re: Stay in menu bar not dock?
I'm sorry, some "full, normal applications" have an icon in the menu bar, some don't. There are no developer's guidelines saying how to do this, so you are imposing your own opinions on others as a kind of decision on how applications should act. If I want applications to behave in this ma...

Re: Stay in menu bar not dock?
That app looks like it might be really good. Obviously, inbuilt support would be better - but app hider looks like the start of something great. Now, if I could just get access to minimised apps somehow, I could do away with the dock altogether!

Re: Stay in menu bar not dock?
Another request for this. For people who are saying it would look bad, or is inappropriate UI - then don't use it! A computer experience is highly subjective, and that is how I personally want to use my computer. You can use yours however you like :) An option to have it show in the dock, or run as ...
