Re: ratio-limit: possible bug?

This sounds similar to https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/5175 ... what locale are you using? If you change locales, or use LANG=C, does the problem go away?

If it is a locale problem, do you have information on how I should change the settings on my system s.t. I can reproduce the error here?

Re: ratio-limit: possible bug?

That's odd... I'm either following the steps wrong, or something's different with my setup, but I'm not seeing this. First I tested editing settings.json to 0.10, then ran transmission and exited, to see if the updated settings.json truncated the value to 0: $ ls -l ~/.config/transmission/settings.j...

Re: Transmission still hangs horribly

Szafran,

I'm not sure why you used screenshots for that; but regardless, it's interesting output. Obviously the thing to look at is why countArray() and countRange are being called so heavily.

Any chance you could pastebin the "perf report -g" of those to show the call chains for them?

Re: ratio-limit: possible bug?

I write 0,20 I'll get 0, if I write 1,85 I'll get 1 and so on. If you're editing this in settings.json, then problem solved: JSON requires a '.' decimal point regardless of the locale. If you're saying Transmission itself is writing ',' on its own when it saves settings.json on shutdown, that would...

Re: Transmission still hangs horribly

Szafran, if you're trying to download a very large torrent at a sustained 7 MB/s, you may be hitting a use case that the developers haven't tested for... I don't know about livings124, but I don't have that kind of hardware / bandwidth available to me. The gdb traces are interesting: both of them sh...

Not sure what you're wanting. You didn't give any information about your build failure before?

Re: Transmission still hangs horribly

On a torrent with 390GB size and 23,273 parts I'm getting only up to 600kB/s (that's less than 10% of what it should be) and the CPU usage is maxed out all the time. <snip> I do compare it to the speeds I can achieve on a much slower laptop with Win7 + uT (so what you wrote doesn't make sense). So ...

Transmission is not meant for piracy. Do not use it.

I'll pull an update and do a debug dump later today.
600kB/s is less than 10% the speed you're expecting?

Re: Settings Icon in Web Interface from iPad

Yep, it's a known issue & is in the bug tracker. The main problem blocking fixes in the web client is that we don't have a primary dev for the web client. I'm kind of toying with the idea of using Dojo to make a proper web client for phones & tablets, but don't have the free time needed to commit to...

Re: Internet stops working when using Transmission

Try disabling DHT and uTP and see if that makes any difference.

Sometimes routers can't handle the load generated by the volume of different kinds of network traffic generated by p2p

Re: Error when compiling transmission on Windows

rb07, is there an up-to-date page describing how you build trqtw?

It seems like there are a lot of people depending on your builds now, which is kind of awesome :D

Re: Polonized transmission control - spolszczone t-c

IMO it makes more sense for you to contact the transmission-control developer directly. IIRC transmission-control uses the easyui framework, so maybe he can fold your localization into his release.

Re: Transmission 2.61-2.76 crashes OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

Nobody else is reporting this, and apps shouldn't be able to cause kernel panics.

It's very likely that this is an issue with your system, rather than a Transmission or even OS X bug.
