Wow your upload speed is tiny
Try setting "speed-limit-up": 10 this will be 80 kbits/s
Your last setting of 100 is several times more than wha you actually have

Re: Low speed on NAS
mysterious.. Now my speed is about 70kb/s .. sometimes 110kb/s.. Should i set upload-slots-per-torrent to 1? Here's now my complete config: ahh and I forgot to mention that I disabled the "blocklist-enabled" option. 1. What are your www.speedtest.net results, as noted you have not reduced...

Re: Overhead constrained by max upload limit
Utorrent has this feature but it isn't enabled by default since it is a guess. It just pads it's figures for each connection when doing it's limit check. As per another thread, this is why I have to havily limit my upload slots, it quickly gets out of hand as my service has very little upload but lo...

Re: Low speed on NAS
Try turning down the "upload-slots-per-torrent" to just 2. How fast is your internet connection? Your speed limits look all wrong as these are set in BYTES per second (used by the OS for file transfers) not BITS per second (used to describe network transfers just about everywhere) Your nor...

Re: Low speed on NAS
Your settings.json file, transmission version, and what kind of nas you are running might help.. However if I was going to guess by your top post that you are running some kind of buffalo brand nas. Remember your nas has a pathetically slow CPU and less ram than your PC running uTorrent. Allowing to...

Re: Remote access to Transmission in client
Actually when I first started using the transmission daemon on my NAS I found it odd that I couldn't use the Mac transmission client as a front end... If the GUI clients just wrap the same code as the daemon I wonder how hard it would be to make the front end have an option to connect to copies of t...

Re: Very Jumpy Downloads and Unresponsive Behavior
If you are writing directly to a network drive, I am guessing that is the problem.. Transmission does not have a write buffer and relies on the OS, so every bit that downloads has to then be written, that will have a significant performance hit.

Re: Automatic speed limits when opening a browser
I think he is asking that it do it as soon as a browser windows opens, and not be a manual change.
It seems like a good idea to me for the Desktop versions of Transmission.

Re: how is it that some peers do not allow downloading?
It is possible that the peer has no available upload slots but has parts your client needs.. So it appears in your list but is not currently allowing more connections.

I think the question was still "Does it work?" or is there a better way.

Re: Transmission 2.00b1 Released!
I'm also trying out the new on-complete-script, and while my script does seem to get run, it seems to freeze/block transmission until it finishes, and it starts when transmission still shows 99% complete, so my seeding detection logic doesn't work. So I have 2 questions: 1) When does the script get...

Re: Closed Port
Is your Mac directly connected to your internet connection or do you have some sort of WiFi/Router device in place? If you have a Router then you need to make sure UPNP is enabled on IT, not just your Mac.

Not sure I will hit up the beta on my NAS, however I am really looking forward to that script at end of torrent feature... might break down and install it if I find builds for my device.

Re: Transmission 1.93 Released!
hmm seems like someone did't correctly publish 1.93 in my devices optware feed.. I keep getting the following error.
