Using Transmission r5314/5315. 2.7GB of downloaded data, plus 630MB of failed download. Piece size is 4MB, and the torrent is made up of two 1KB files, and a single 7GB file. It is the only torrent running. Transmission seems to failing and discarding data at the hash check when the data should inst...

Jethryn, have you thought about loading those torrents into Azureus? I have a thing against Azureus  The weird thing is that each torrent has around 5 times more seeders than leechers (10-20 seeders each), but Transmission won't download (no pieces available, no peers connected), even though ...

it's a fairly complicated feature, and most people only use it when their tracker's temporarily down -- so I haven't gotten around to it yet. This is pretty much it, right now I have a couple of badly seeded torrents tracked by a single tacker I've never heard of before. No data downloaded after 3 ...

If the torrent has more leechers than seeders, expect slow speeds , especially if there are more than 2 or 3 times as many leechers as seeders. You could try toggling the encryption settings (turning it completely on or off), or increasing the maximum number of connections (though too many connecti...

Minor bug reporting version number to Sparkle
One slight bug: Transmission doesn't always report the correct version number to Sparkle for the automatic nightly updates. For example, the current r5096 build reports as r5092. I've seen this a couple of times in the past too. Not too important, just thought I'd let you know.

Make sure you've installed the 10.5.2 update for Leopard. Also, make sure that your connection limits (in Transmission's advanced preferences) aren't too high. 50 connections per torrent and 400 globally should be fine. If a connection limit of 400 gives you trouble, try 250, or lower if you still g...
