I just went down 4 levels in the dependency tree for apindicator and it wanted an exact version of libcairo-gobject... but my system wanted to install a newer version with oneiric in the name. I checked all my sources and all of them specify precise or nothing.

I'm trying to build 2.84 on my older kubuntu system (12.04) so I can make a tiny tweak to it. I downloaded and unpacked transmission-2.84.tar.xz and ran configure. It failed on dependencies. Then, I RTFM and tried to install the dependencies it needs and that failed. What did I miss? Is 12.04 too ol...

I suppose I could use a videocam for screen capture. It always works!, But, that wasn't exactly what I was hoping for.

Sometimes, I like to do reverse DNS lookups on peers. It's cool to see what countries they're from and, when they're misbehaving, it helps me decide whether to block them (using iptables) or not. Just uninstalled 2.80 and rebuilt 2.77 from tarball. It works.

I will just need to know when this problem gets fixed so I can go back to using the ppa.

If you need me to reinstall 2.80 for testing, etc., let me know.
