Re: Shift, a new web UI - UPDATE 2013.01.01

I definitely want to old shift webui, simple step only rename terminal.css to shift.css ? Yes. Or edit the index.html and replace shift.css with terminal.css. Funny. I did get some comments about the green/black theme being ugly. Glad you like it! Other question , the webui not supported my webbrow...

Re: a Custom Web UI - update 2013.01.28

Jordan took my way of uploading torrents and ran with it ... not taking separate handling for urls in account.

Re: How can the most newest version support IE6&IE7?

With the current trend I see that support for all IE before 10 will get dropped. You can thank MicroSoft for not creating standards supporting browsers all these years. And IE6- are very poor browsers indeed. If you want to keep using the web UI with transmission for old browsers then don't upgrade ...

Re: Unrar and cleanup script - UPDATE 2013.01.10

@cconly, blacke4dawn: Your solutions have nothing to do with the unrar-and-cleanup script, which runs when a torrent is complete. In the script there's is the line: transmission-remote -n $TR_USERNAME:$TR_PASSWORD -t $TR_TORRENT_HASH --remove-and-delete Why not just replace that with: transmission-r...

Re: Shift, a new web UI - UPDATE 2013.01.01

Creating a torrent with a web UI ... interesting idea. Let me break this down for you: Upload all files to transmission daemon. Calculate hashes server side. Add resulting torrent file to seed. Distribute resulting torrent or hash. The hard part would be in the uploading of files. This could all be ...

You can specify one in Shift, a new web UI, but not with a file browser on the server.

This is not correct anyway: #Proxy Transmission ProxyPass /transmission http://127.0.0.1:9091/transmission/web/ ProxyPassReverse /transmission http://127.0.0.1:9091/transmission/web/ It should be: #Proxy Transmission ProxyPass /transmission http://127.0.0.1:9091/transmission/ ProxyPassReverse /trans...

Unrar and cleanup script - UPDATE 2013.01.10

Changelog
  • Use TR_TORRENT_HASH instead of TR_TORRENT_ID for referencing torrents. This will ensure the proper torrent is deleted after a restart of the daemon.

Re: Bug: RPC returns "success" for non-existent hashes.

Although technically you are correct, your point is moot. In practice the hash could only come from the daemon itself. You don't manually type in a hash for issuing commands on a torrent.

Re: Running a script after a download completes

chmod +x yourscript.sh ls -la yourscript.sh -rw x r--r-- x is for executable. Correct! But ... The script has CHMOD 0777. How can i run it manually, doesn't Transmission send certain parameters to the script too? Probably 777 right? So your file attributes ARE ok. Please put a line like: echo "...

Re: Port Closed

@sauly, once again: This is NOT a problem with the transmission software itself. The remote service that is checking the port is not working, probably down.
