motulist, You have the SIMBL hack installed (maybe even an outdated version, latest was 0.8.2). That may cause issues too... (just thinking out loud here)

Posting feedback here would be great.

Small note, this proxy support is for Tracker communication only. Doing so for the p2p communication would be madness (or so I've heard).

motulist wrote:Also, if I recall correctly Transmission didn't even need to be open at the time the problem arose, it just needed to have been launched at some point since the last restart.
Then I doubt Transmission is the cause, though it might be the trigger.

The error 4xx is the same as for other websites: http://www.tamingthebeast.net/articles/ ... erence.htm

Most likely, the tracker is down. If so, not much you can do about it except contacting the tracker.

Actually, I'm not sure. However, the daemon/remote can be build from the command line. Consult included README file for more information.

You need to get the source code from the website. Xcode is on your OSX installation DVD. Just open the Transmission.xcodeproj file and choose the daemon/remote as target from the toolbar. Click build. Transmission-remote, is this the normal transmission front end No, though the front-end is a daemon...

To open up your ATV, read: http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Main_Page

Then install the transmission-daemon and Clutch. (and a web-server)

Note: for now, only use release versions. Do not build from svn, because it will not work.

hmm. How about leaving the activity viewer open. That way you can see which processes are actually taking up lots of CPU / Harddrive activity.

Could you try this?

No weird system extensions, like peerguardian or some virus checker? Normal internet connection? I mean, no VPN, Proxies or SSH tunnel?

Are you (alexmuller, motulist) getting kernel panics?

No, priorities only have effect within the torrent. T uses priorities to determine which pieces to request to the peers of that torrent.

Are you all downloading to a network disk (eg. Airport Extreme)? Or is there anything we should know you're doing differently from a "normal" setup? Like network disks, hackintosh, virus scanner? In short, anything not on a default mac, straight from the apple store, with default settings ...

Sure, but KadC is plain C, while libtorrent's implementation is C++. Still, we need someone to put the DHT in place.
