Re: Session Transfer Vs Actual Download

The bandwidth counters now include protocol overhead due to ticket #617 finally getting fixed.
Excellent, those ridiculously high download speeds Transmission was reporting were making me feel way happier than I ought to be :)

Re: Combine all UI elements into one window

I think the idea of the Inspector window being replaced by a drawer was brought up a while ago, it was decided that it would look too cluttered.

Re: Session Transfer Vs Actual Download

Good to see this being worked on. I've been testing the nightlies, first time I saw this problem was on r6794 and OS X 10.5.4, latest version I've tried is r6880 with OS X 10.5.5.

Re: Transfer rate in Kbit/s or Mbit/s option

Heh, I must have misread the first post. I think it's just easier to read kilobytes/sec rather than kilobits/sec, since to the average user they're much more useful as it's the same unit of measurement as what the operating system uses to measure file sizes.

Re: [REQ] Please allow Transmission to bind to an interface

This is something that is usually done directly by the operating system. I can't tell you exactly how to do it, Google is your best bet.

Re: Transfer rate in Kbit/s or Mbit/s option

I'm pretty sure that Transmission already does this automatically. I've never broken 400KB/sec though, so I'm not exactly qualified to give you an answer here. Can anybody verify this either way?

Also, to what medium are you saving your downloads?
And which format is it?
How big are the files you are trying to download?

While on NFS+ only mac's can.
You means HFS+

Mac OS X can read/write to HFS+, Windows can neither read nor write.
Windows can read/write to NTFS, Mac OS X can only read (by default.)

Which version of OS X and Transmission are you using? You could try a nightly version of Transmission to see if that fixes anything.

DHT seems to be the only feature that Transmission is missing. I'll see if I can find some volunteers to assist coding it.

many of my current main applications have problems after 10.4.8 Unfortunately, 10.4.8 isn't supported by the Transmission developers. Make sure that this software is fully updated, I don't know of any software myself that supports 10.4.8 and not 10.4.11. For Transmission 1.20, the system requiremen...

A place in the menu bar is usually given to utilities that are frequently used to interact with the main components of the computer and operating system (e.g. displays, Airport, Time Machine, battery charge.)

Like livings said, it's not going to happen.
