Re: Lots of corrupt data
Its unlikely that much corrupt data comes from peers. Its more likely that you have a hardware problem, either RAM or disk, even a bad network card, bad firmware or a combination of options that make it misbehave. I suppose the latter could signify a bad network connection also? No. If TCP is used t...

Re: what happens if you forget to verify local data?
Probably not. Transmission doesn't start to write files right away, it seems you caught it on time since verification passed (yep, its called luck). By "downloaded the torrent again" do you really mean the magnet (not the .torrent file)? Transmission, by default, doesn't behave the way you...

Re: "Invalid Argument" and then download stops
Then the problem is your Xbian, Transmission in general doesn't have a problem with foreign characters.trumanbaltar wrote:Regardless of the filesystem (tried on EXT3).
No. Nobody else has that problem.trumanbaltar wrote:Is there a way in transmission-daemon to automatically and systematically erase the ñ?

Re: "Invalid Argument" and then download stops
it was not possible through the Web Interface. Still is not possible through the Web interface. So do something else to prove that the FAT32 file system is the problem, for instance change the location to download in a different file system (I know, Xbian and Raspberry Pi, not exactly the best opti...

Re: "Invalid Argument" and then download stops
Transmission on anything uses UTF-8 as character encoding... except maybe on Mac, I don't know. If your system can't handle UTF-8, then that could be the problem (and it could be the foreign character, or the exclamation). I don't know what Xbian is. Instead of making hypothesis, why don't you just ...

Re: "Invalid Argument" and then download stops
There's a ñ actually on the containing folder. Not a problem. Same goes for all foreign characters. The only problem characters on a FAT32 file system are those shown in the link I gave you. Other than that, FAT32 also has file name size limits which are different, full path limit, file size limit.

Re: "Invalid Argument" and then download stops
Could it be something in the name of the files? Yes. In this particular case there are three files and one includes two exclamation points !! Shouldn't be the problem. Perhaps some back-slashes? I'm writing on a FAT32 partition on an external hard drive Even worse, but not in this case, Windows all...

Re: How to change numeric display formats
No announce list, or anything similar. Myself I keep looking at https://trac.transmissionbt.com/browser (because I have a copy of the repository, kept up to date with Subversion), when a new tag comes up, that means there's a new version... sometimes before the real release is made (at http://www.tr...

Perhaps the problem is not the watch directory. You said: while I have no downloads or uploads running which is ambiguous. You don't have any tor...

Re: Resuming Incomplete torrents on a different PC
How i can take the backup of config directory? and how to restore it? Copy and restore with new ownership the config directory, which in Windows 7, since you are using my Transmission-Qt (from SourceForge) is: /Users/<user name>/AppData/Roaming/transmission/ The difference from doing that and what ...

Only if you have a backup of the config directory.
BTW Windows 8.1 doesn't play nice with Transmission-Qt for Windows. Plus there is no support for any Windows version here, each Windows distribution has its own support.

Is it a feature that the HDD needs to be checked every 5 seconds or so? Only if you have watch dir (a.k.a. Automatically add .torrent files from:) enabled, and there's no OS support for file events. I'm running the windows binary Windows is not one of the supported platforms. Each Windows distribut...

picked plain text and Western - Windows and copy and paste in terminal What? I don't understand, but I'm sure "Western - Windows" is wrong. Copy and paste what in terminal? It looks like you're doing everything wrong. From the beginning: You have a bash script, we don't know its name, but...
