It is merely a check which has to be run from the outside of your local network. The only 'bad' thing about it is that if that site is down, you will get this friendly message.

So, again, the check is completely unrelated to the core of Transmission and is mere informative.

Did you guys confirm that the port is actually closed? (canyouseeme.org)

Because "unable to check port status" doesn't mean either closed or open. Just unable to reach the port check website. This should not affect speeds, and probably doesn't.

Ether click any of the magnifying glasses or double click the file in the inspector.

Maybe you have filtered your torrents to only display downloading/active torrents?

Did you make this compatible with the 'new' (for the upcoming release of T 1.30)?

Because a lot changed, and you may want to interface directly with T now.

Ryoujin already hinted at this before, but you may want to choose a different port then your bf. If he had an open port before, it could be closed for the both of you because both your computers are requesting that port from the router. Just increase the number by 20 or so. And restart the router. I...

No, priorities only have effect within the torrent. T uses priorities to determine which pieces to request to the peers of that torrent.

Hmm, didn't I say this in my previous post?

It doesn't matter if a torrent is completed or paused, as long as it is in Transmission it will be checked for duplicates when adding a new torrent. So the reboot did nothing to aid your 'problem'.

Could you try adding the first torrent again?

yellowavcable, actually I doubt there could be something wrong in Transmission. It simply compares the hash of the torrent you want to add with those already loaded in.

Are you sure that you didn't download that torrent before? Maybe it's a bit older and is paused? Or queued?

motulist, SIMBL should be in /Library/InputManagers or in the ~/Library/InputManagers. Move it to the trash and restart (not sure if it is needed, but it doesn't hurt)

steveio , Just to be clear: Relakks (not relaxxs) is a VPN service. This is completely different thing then a proxy. p2p = peer to peer. Tracker <-> peer communication is just plain server <-> client communication. The tracker isn't a peer, or node, in the swarm (notable exception is DHT). Thats no...
