I agree with Flete5401 - Compact view is very nice - however I would like to say that I think the colours should be 'stronger' or maybe more contrasting between foreground & background. Obviously not to the detriment of legibility of the text but I'm sure a few shades won't affect it too much. It's a bit tricky sometimes to work out progress without resorting to looking at the figures. Just a suggestion in any case. Transmission is still the best by far. Great work all involved.

I was wondering, where are the standard units? All I see is KB/MB/GB, and file sizes are still calculated in base-2.

BTW it would be nice if Transmission detected the OS and used base-10 for Snow Leopard (I'm on 10.6.3), and base-2 for older systems. Or have a user configurable option.

Also, +1 for stronger colors, or some way to display progress in a more legible way.

Thanks!

Well, I have to chime in on the matter of stronger colours within compact view. It's really hard to determine the correct status by just looking at the colour bars.

Hmmm this is strange.

Was running super fine for ages, then the torrents sits there with 250 peers at 99.9% but doesnt seem to be able to get that last .1%.

its been sitting here like this for about an hour now and just wont finish the torrents.

Was running fine when using 2.0b1 not sure what changed in the mean time but just struck me as strange that was all.

Super slow for me, had some torrents running in 1.93 at around about 300 KB/s each, updated to 2.0 and one barely gets over 50KB/s and the other is running at about 3 KB/s. Had a run through all the settings and everything is set up correctly (right port is opened, speed isn't limited etc) - no idea what's going on! Had the same issue with the beta and reverted back, going to do the same now unfortunately.

Don't know if there's any info I can give you that might help diagnose the problem?

Why were you using the beta if you had no intention of reporting issues?

yes i experienced this problem with versions 1.92 and 1.93 but only in some cases when the torrent swarms were very large. i had to restart to get it to finish, otherwise it seemed forever stuck at 99.xx% even though a ton of seeds were available. i'm guessing that "Fix possible data corruption issue caused by data sent by bad peers during endgame" introduced in 1.92 might have had an undesirable side-effect in some instances but of course that's only a guess.

but since trying both betas and now with 2.00 this hasn't re-occurred but i'm still a little wary because i haven't seen anything in the release notes addressing this as an issue.

otherwise everything looks good so far.

OS is Linux Debian

Sounds like this problem in development. It was fixed for me in the few that I tried... Maybe I didn't get a big enough test sample.
